1. Pre-heat BBQ to 450 F
2. While your BBQ is heating up, snap off the bottoms of the asparagus. Grab the top and the bottom of the asparagus and gently start to bend it. It will snap off the woody stem and leave only the edible part of the asparagus.
3. Season your asparagus with a high smoke point oil such as rice bran oil or avocado oil, kosher salt and lemon pepper. Ensure the asparagus is coated completely with oil, but not saturated.
4. Place the seasoned and trimmed asparagus, onto the grill topper and turn it after 2 minutes.
5. Cook for 4-6 minutes, the asparagus should still have some snap to it. Finish by squeezing a 1/4 of a fresh lemon on top.
